Built for teams that build data platforms
Multi-team governance, hierarchical security, role-based access, and custom data model alignment — all in a single platform designed for enterprise-scale data operations.
Multi-team organization hierarchy
Each team operates independently within a shared governance framework. Cross-team data sharing happens through published data products.
Organization
Acme Financial Corp
Enterprise-wide governance, shared component library, and baseline security policies.
Team
Risk Analytics, Customer Data, Regulatory Reporting
Independent team with own members, policies, and component overrides.
Workspace
Isolated pipeline environment
Isolated workspace with pipelines, components, and data products scoped to the team.
Pipeline
KYC/AML Pipeline, Customer 360
Individual data pipeline with its own quality gates, compliance steps, and alerting.
Workspace isolation — teams operate independently without affecting each other
Shared component library — approved sources, transforms, and quality gates across teams
Cross-team data products — share through published catalog, not direct pipeline access
Hierarchical role-based access control
Six roles spanning organization-wide and team-level scopes, each with clearly defined permissions.
Org Super Admin
- Full control over all teams and policies
- Manage billing and subscription
- Create and remove teams
- Set organization-wide security baselines
Org Compliance Officer
- Read-only access across all teams
- Full audit log access
- Generate compliance reports
- View all data classifications
Team Admin
- Manage team members and invitations
- Set team-level policies and overrides
- Approve team component publications
- Configure team connectors
Team Data Steward
- Manage data classifications within team
- Define quality profiles and thresholds
- Publish and manage data products
- Configure masking policies
Pipeline Builder
- Create and modify pipelines in workspace
- Deploy pipelines within team scope
- Add pipeline-specific quality gates
- Configure pipeline alerting thresholds
Viewer
- Read-only access to pipelines
- View dashboards and quality reports
- Browse data product catalog
- Access team documentation
Policy inheritance — more restrictive only
Security and compliance policies follow a strict inheritance model. Team-level policies can be more restrictive than organization-level policies, never less.
Organization Policies
BaselineSet by Org Super Admin. Defines the minimum security and compliance requirements that all teams must follow.
- All PII must be classified as RESTRICTED
- AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit
- Required quality gates on every pipeline
- Mandatory PII scanning on ingestion
Team Policies
OverrideSet by Team Admin. Can add additional restrictions beyond the org baseline but can never relax them.
- Restrict connectors to Snowflake only
- Add BCBS 239 compliance checks for risk team
- Require additional data quality thresholds
- Enforce stricter data classification rules
Pipeline Policies
OverrideSet by Pipeline Builder. Add pipeline-specific gates and thresholds within team constraints.
- Pipeline-specific quality gate thresholds
- Additional masking for sensitive outputs
- Custom alerting thresholds per pipeline
More restrictive only. Teams can add restrictions and additional checks, but they can never relax organization-level policies. Enforced by the platform at runtime.
Enterprise data model alignment
Map source schemas to team-specific models, then align with the enterprise canonical model — all within the pipeline builder.
Raw Ingestion
Raw source schema ingested as-is. Format auto-detection and schema inference on ingestion.
Team Data Model
Source schemas mapped to team-specific data models via visual mapper and AI-assisted column matching.
Enterprise Canonical Model
Team models aligned with the enterprise canonical model. Platform provides mapping suggestions, team confirms.
Visual schema mapper with drag-and-drop column alignment
AI-assisted mapping using schema similarity and sample data comparison
Mapping versioning alongside pipeline definitions
Reusable mapping templates for common source-to-model patterns
